How To Play Double Exposure?

Double Exposure is a variation of blackjack in which both of the dealer's cards are played face-up or "exposed." You can learn to play in just a few minutes and enjoy one of the Vegas Casinos more popular other games.

Most of the standard rules for casino blackjack are employed.
There are a few changes that compensate for the player's ability to see both of the dealer's cards.

Important Changes

  •     Dealer's cards are exposed
  •     Dealer wins all ties except on blackjack
  •     Player blackjack pays even money
  •     Player may split a pair only once

With the above rules, the house edge is just over 1%. However, to achieve the lowest edge, a player needs to vary their basic strategy from that employed on a standard table.

Most likely the player will be allowed to double down on only 9, 10 and 11. Changes that help the player are:

  •     Player may split any two cards
  •     Player may double after split
  •     Player may split more than once
  •     Dealer stands on soft 17
  •     Tied blackjack is win for player

Because the player loses on a tie, the most important change is to hit anytime the dealer has 17-21 and you have a tie or less. You must beat the dealer to win, otherwise you lose.
